Getting to Oxnard by Air

Oxnard lies 50 minutes from Burbank Airport (West), 75 minutes from LA Airport (North West), and 60 minutes from Santa Barbara Airport (south).

Shuttle service is available to and from Los Angeles Airport (LAX): Amadeus Limousine, Ventura County Airporter, Roadrunner Shuttle, Ventura Transit System.

Oxnard also has a regional airport called Oxnard Airport (OXR), which is a public airport located a mile west of downtown Oxnard.

Getting to Oxnard by Car

It is easy to get to Oxnard by Car via highways. If coming from LA, take north along the Hwy 1, or travel along highway 101. The main route of Oxnard is US Highway 101 (Ventura Freeway), which connects Santa Barbara and Ventura to the northwest and LA to the southwest. State Route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) travels down the coast to Malibu (south). Vineyard Avenue (Highway 232) travels northeast connecting CA State Route 118 to Saticoy and beyond.

Oxnard is accessible by train. Metrolink and Amtrak service is available to Oxnard.

Metrolink: Metrolink connects Oxnard to LA through the San Fernando Valley.

Amtrak: Amtrak Pacific Surfliner has many stops every day at the Oxnard Transportation Center in downtown Oxnard. Also, Amtrak's Coast Starlight travelling from LA to Seattle stops two times in a day, with one stop in the West Ventura County.

Getting to Oxnard by Bus

VISTA Bus: VISTA inter-city bus routes serves Oxnard. It runs three Conejo Connection buses, towards the Warner Center Transit Hub (LA). The Conejo Connection bus stops at the Esplanade Shopping Center in Oxnard near Highway 101. VISTA also manages and runs the Coastal Connection from Esplanade to Goleta and Santa Barbara through Ventura.
